Commissioner's regional/area subject files, 1972-1981.

St 1966, Ex Sess, c 735 charged the Dept. of Mental Health with establishing a comprehensive program of mental health and mental retardation services, which included state hospitals, state schools, clinics, and comprehensive centers; and reorganized delivery of these services and management of facilities by dividing the state into seven administrative regions, each in turn divided into service or catchment areas, at the level of service delivery. Regional/area subject files are created by the commissioner to keep apprised of policy and program developments and events at the regional and area levels.
